Armesso – A.M. Messopepton

Messopepton is an innovative formulation, combining Leucine and biotechnologically derived peptides with high specificity and amplified effects, or “smart peptides” to support muscular hypertrophy. It modulates signaling pathways that regulate muscle growth (hypertrophy) by stimulating protein synthesis and inhibiting muscle degradation (proteolysis).

Messopepton also acts on the mTOR signaling pathways, which regulate when and where muscle growth occurs. It also increases the translation of mRNA encoding myofibrillar proteins. Additionally, Messopepton works to improve metabolic efficiency, through biotransformation of its active ingredients, important molecules like the HMG-CoA molecule are produced, which in turn favors production of Acetyl-CoA, or acetylco enzyme A.

This supports ATP-generating metabolic cycles, like the Krebs Cycle, and enhances mitochondrial biogenesis. Messopepton also activates important growth factors in the body, similar to Insulin-like Growth Factor I (IGF-I). It’s particularly effective in skeletal muscle, enhancing the survival of myoblasts, the cells responsible for generating muscle fibers.

Activates satellite cells, promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation, thereby enhancing muscle growth and regeneration. Acts on the Ubiquitin-Proteasome system, resulting in a decrease in protease expression and the prevention of atrophy. This helps preserve muscle mass, preventing muscle wasting
